Yes, inspired by this delightfully weird little ditty off “Cult Hits of the 1960′s, Vol. 2,” I find myself working a shimmyshake like something from the T.A.M.I. Show. This track mixes commonplace sounds from the era – led by a Zombies style keyboard riff – with some sound affect-y kinda bits that serve to illustrate the admiring frustration of the verses. As funny as life itself.

Like a demented Gang Of Four engaged in bathroom sex with Joy Division on quaaludes, Cincinnati Ohio’s Wolverton Brothers lurch forth, their hapless instruments wailing in protest along beside them. Actually, once you get into it, “Cops Nab Drunken, Legless Burglar,” is a surprisingly fine piece. I find myself not only entertained but impressed. Clearly I need help. This is music your parents hope you don’t like. Enjoy.

In a hilarious anthem for squalid man-caves everywhere, The Dudes (who else, right?) sing with praise and fear, of the “Girl Police.” Part musical nod to 70′s rockers like Cheap Trick, and part post-alterna emo complain-core, it all adds up to 100% rad.
